Fiscal Agent Services
The project provides services of a Fiscal Agent to the Government of Niger for implementing Millennium Challenge Account funds provided by the Government of the United States through the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC). The overall scope of funds managed by the partners is U$ 437 million. The MCA aims at reducing poverty and investing in economic growth.
GFA Consulting Group as Fiscal Agent acts on behalf of Millennium Challenge Account (MCA) to provide financial management services that are requested by MCA to implement the projects funded with MCC Funding. In this role, the FA oversees, discharges and performs all services necessary to achieve the optimum value for the moneys expended by MCA, while ensuring that all financial transactions be conducted in compliance with the principles, rules and procedures set out in the respective Compact Agreements.
GFA B.I.S. Services
GFA B.I.S. was commissioned by GFA Consulting Group to provide the planning, configuration, implementation, training and support of an automated accounting system based on Infor SunSystems Financial Management Software for the Fiscal Agent. The system enables high transparency using multiple analysis dimensions and multi-currency. Special modules for budget, commitment and invoice management have been integrated. Donor-specific reporting requirements will be fulfilled by a pre-defined real-time reporting package in MS Excel®. In addition, GFA B.I.S. consultants assist MCA Niger in the customization of the planned SAP system including data migration, training and support.
